Well, it’s out there, but it’ll take precisely 10 years to discover it – or longer.
Similarly, a startup secret that will save you 6 months, will take at least 6 months to discover.
Of course, this isn’t what people want to hear. The want mega success, yesterday. They want the “secret” to success, to the extent there even is one.
Not even hiring someone who’s worked for years at startups to consult with you will get around this fundamental law, because what worked for them won’t necessarily work for you.
Startups are like investing or planting a tree. To realize growth today, one must have have started yesterday. But it’s always a good time to plant a tree. It’s (arguably) always a good time to invest. Starting and learning is the key. Get in the game, constantly learn, stay in it and you’ll eventually be successful.
